We're very pleased with our switch to RealStudio - productivity has increased, and despite the odd issue we are happy to recommend it as a development tool - especially as it natively supports Mac, PC and Web development and deployment.
Our flagship product, SmoothPay Gold payroll is a complete redevelopment using RealStudio of our older New Zealand payroll (written using Visual FoxPro - RIP thanks to M$), and is now available in localised version for 8 countries and includes multi-lingual and multi-currency options.
If you're considering moving to RealStudio from another development platform (we came from Oracle, Visual FoxPro, C, Cobol and others) then you might like to check out the few pitfalls and shortcomings in RealStudio that we have encountered - they're nothing you can't work-around (usually). There are plenty of plugins, classes, modules and so on out there, but some we've tried (e.g. Excel classes) don't work properly, so from time-to-time we find ourselves having to create our own - and we'd like to share some of these with other RealBasic users in the hope you'll find them useful too.
